In meinem letzten Blog ging es um die zwei neue Fachbegriffe in der Zentangle -Welt: Retikula (Einzahl: Retikulum) und Fragmente. Schon lange wollte ich meine letzte Blogpost fortführen, und euch mein Tangle-Muster „Geschluckt“ als Retikulum vorstellen. Kurze Wiederholung: „Retikulum“ bedeutet eine Art von Raster, das mit Muster gefüllt werden kann. Klassisch ist ein Raster aus Quadrate, die ganz anders aussieht, je nach dem, wie man die Quadrate befüllt. Aber im Zentangle Primer Vol. 1, Rick und Maria stellen viele andere Raster – Retikula – vor, darunter auch welche, die Dreiecke oder Kreise statt Quadrate als Flächen zu Befüllen haben.
In my last blog post I talked a bit about the new words in the growing Zentangle jargon: reticula and fragment. I have been meaning to follow up on that post forever and demonstrate how my tangle pattern „Geschluckt“ can be used as a reticula for round fragments. Quick recap: a reticula is a grid in the broadest sense of the word – a network of lines that create spaces that can be filled with another pattern, or „fragment“. The classic grid has square spaces that can be filled with fragments for very different results. But in the Zentangle Primer Vol 1, Rick and Maria also give examples of reticula that create spaces that are triangular or round.
