Eine Kachel einfärben und darauf tangeln – das hatte bis jetzt nicht sehr oft gemacht, dafür in den letzten Wochen ganz viel. (Ich bereite mich nämlich auf einen Kurs vor.) Es hat mir viel Spaß gemacht und ich mag die Ergebnisse sehr! Ich will euch zeigen, wie ich das bis jetzt gemacht habe.
I have just started coloring tiles before tangling on them – in preparation for a workshop. I discovered that it’s a lot of fun and I love the results. Here’s how I go about it.
Bis jetzt habe ich zwei Vorgehensweisen. Eine davon ist es, die Farbflächen als Faden zu nutzen und die Tangles von den Farbverläufe beeinflussen zu lassen. Das habe ich in dem obigen Beispiel gemacht. Die dunkleren, roten Flächen habe ich mit verschiedenen ähnlichen Rastermuster gefüllt (Bumpkenz und Nymph) und die gelben Flächen mit Sandswirl und Tipple. Hier sind weitere Beispiele von dieser Methode:
I have two basic approaches at this point. One is to use the splotches of color as a thread and let the color changes guide the changes in tangles. That is the case in the example tile above, where I used Bumpkenz and Nymph in the darker red patches and Sandswirl and Tipple in the lighter yellow spaces. Alternativ kann man auch die Farbverläufe ignorieren und auf die ganze Fläche so tanglen, als wäre der Hintergrund Weiß. Die Farben leuchten und bewegen sich dahinter, und tragen so ein weiteres Element zu der Komposition bei. Es kann wirklich sehr schön sein. Hier sind zwei Beispiele davon:
The other approach is to just pretty much ignore the color changes and tangle as if the backround were white. The different colors glow and move beneath the tangles to add another element to the composition. It can be really beautiful. Here are two examples of this:
