Vor einigen Jahren habe ich ein Muster ausgedacht und nannte es „Slinky“. Mir gefiel dieses Muster sehr gut und ich habe es oft benutzt. Hier ist die Basis-Stepout:
A couple years ago I come up with a pattern that I called „slinky“. I liked it and used it quite a bit. This is the basic step-out:

Ganz neulich, als ich mit Slinky in menem Heft spielte, finge ich an, Auras um die Schlingel zu zeichnen. Es bekam dadurch eine Tiefe und einen verwobenen Effekt.
Recently, I was doodling in my journal and started drawing auras around the Slinky loops . It added depth and a woven effect.
Ich habe noch weiter herumprobiert, bis ich begriffen habe, dass ich es wie Ellish zeichnen soll, damit sich die Linien nicht kreuzen. Das Ergebnis könnte ihr hier sehen:
I kept playing with it until I grasped that I should draw it like Ellish and not cross any lines. You can see the result in this tile:
Cool oder? Danach habe ZenGems geübt und dachte, diese Art von Slinky könnte eine schönes Rahmenmuster sein. Dabei habe ich aber nach dem ersten „Schlingel“ schon inne gehalten und beschlossen, darauf aufzubauen statt den umgekehrten Schlingel zu zeichnen.
Cool, right? A little bit later I was practising ZenGems and thought I would this variation of Slinky to tangle around the gem. But I stopped after drawing the first loop and decided to build another ring of single loops on top of that loop instead.
Diesen Gem habe ich nicht zu Ende gezeichnet aber ich habe die Idee für diesen Gem auf einer 3Z-Kachel verwendet:

Tja und nun kam ich zum Schluss, dass dieses Muster zwar als „Slinky“ began aber nun etwas Anderes war. Ich habe beschlossen, es „Zlinky“ zu nennen. Es ist ein schönes Rahmenmuster, kann aber auch wie Shattuck in einer Fläche gezeichnet werden. Oder ganz wie ihr wollt und wie euch einfällt. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn es euch gefällt und es benutzt! Es folgen die Step-outs zu der Ein-Schlingel-Variation (Zlinky) sowie zu der zwei-Schlingel-Variation (Zlinky 2):
At this Point I felt that although this pattern began as „slinky“ it had become something else. I decided to call it „Zlinky“. It’s a great ribbon or border tangle, but you can also use it like Shattuck to fill up an area – or any other way that takes your fancy. I hope you like it and would love to see you use it!
