Ich habe neulich wieder mit Genuss indem schönen Zendala Buch von Anya Lothrop gestöbert. Ich finde dieses Buch so gelungen und schön, es hat so viele wunderbare Muster und die Kunst ist wirklich inspirierend. Dieses Mal habe ich länger bei den farbigen Zendalas verweilt, und anschließend Anyas Vorschläge für die Nutzung von Farbe genau gelesen. Eine Idee, die ich noch nicht ausprobiert hatte war dabei: Tombow-Markers mit Wasser zu vermischen.
Ich besitze eine ordentliche Sammlung von Tombow-Marker. Es liegt daran, dass ich mich bei Kunstbedarf nicht beherrschen kann. Aber reden wir nicht darüber, sondern lieber darüber, dass ich meine Tombow-Marker so wie Anya vorschlägt dann auch benutzt habe. Ich habe mit den Marker zuerst auf eine Plastikschale gemalt, dann bin ich mit einem feuchten Pinsel rein. Auf dieser „indirekte“ Art habe ich dann sechs vorgezeichnete Zendalas vor dem Tangeln zunächst eingefärbt.
I recently enjoyed paging through Anya Lothrop’s wonderful Zendala book. I must say this book is beautifully done. It has so many lovely patterns and the artwork is very inspiring. I spent quite a bit time looking at the colored Zendalas and then I reread Anya’s suggestions on using colors. I was rewarded by being reminded of an idea I hadn’t yet tried: using water with Tombow markers.
I am in possession of an appreciable collection of Tombow markers. The reason for this is that when it comes to art supplies I have no self control. But instead of dwelling on this, let us instead talk about how I used my Tombow markers in the manner suggested by Anya! First I scribbled some color off the marker onto a plastic dish, then I dipped a wet paintbrush into it. Using this indirect method, I colored six prestrung Zendalas.:
Das Schöne an dieser wässrige, indirekte Methode ist, dass die Farbe schwächer und unregelmäßiger (sprich: lebendiger) wird, als wenn man es direkt aufträgt. Ich mochte das Ergebnis und das Tangeln darauf hat echt geflutscht. Das ist keine Selbstverständlichkeit, deswegen habe ich es umso mehr genossen. Hier sind die einzelne fertige Zendalas:
What I find particularly lovely about this watery, indirect method is that the color is paler and less regular (ie.: more interesting) than when you just color with the marker directly. I liked the look of these Zendalas and the tangling just flowed. This is hardly par for the course for me, so I really enjoyed it. Here are the finished Zendalas:
